Sulfonic acid, a type of organic compound in which sulfo and hydrocarbon (including aryl) are connected. The general formula is R-SO3H. R represents a hydrocarbon group, which is highly acidic and has a relatively large water solubility. It is used to make dyes, drugs, and detergents, and there are various methods to get it.
